Advocacy
Amplifying voices, shaping policy, and driving meaningful change through strategic engagement at every level.
As 28. Jun operates in regions where fundamental human needs are routinely denied, we have developed targeted advocacy strategies to inform and influence policymakers through international platforms such as the United Nations. Our approach allows us to navigate political spaces without compromising our humanitarian projects, the safety of our volunteers, or our commitment to neutrality.
Advocacy is most effective when implemented at multiple levels. This enables us, as an apolitical organization, to build influence while remaining focused on humanitarian outcomes:
Program-Level Advocacy
Overcoming barriers to delivering life-saving aid and services to vulnerable populations.
Policy-Level Advocacy
Supporting humanitarian values by influencing policy frameworks, protecting operational space, and advancing effective funding priorities.
Public Opinion Advocacy
Mobilizing public support to drive legislative or policy change by raising awareness and shaping discourse.
Leading Regional Change Through the SDGs
The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted in 2015, aim to eradicate poverty, reduce inequality, and combat climate change by 2030.
As the first humanitarian organization from the Western Balkans granted Special Consultative Status with the UN Economic and Social Council and Association with the UN Department of Global Communications, 28. Jun is committed to aligning its mission with the SDG framework.
We aim to lead regional implementation of the SDGs—empowering children, families, and communities across the Western Balkans to break the cycle of poverty and injustice during this critical decade.
