28. Jun Announces All ‘Srpske Zemlje, Srpski Rod’ Aid Shipped

During the 2nd anniversary speech at Niagara Falls, 28. Jun announced all humanitarian aid for the ‘Srpske Zemlje, Srpski Rod’ had been shipped and was enroute to the Balkans.

28. Jun today announced the shipment of a 40 ft., 11,000 lbs. container, holding medical and humanitarian supplies intended for Serbs in Northern Kosovo and Refugee camps throughout Serbia.

The shipment is expected to arrive in Belgrade in early July where it will be received by the Commission for Refugees and Migration in the Republic of Serbia who will then distribute the goods to Serbian medical institutions in Northern Kosovo and Refugee camps in Serbia which house refugees of the war in Krajina.

Serbian footballer Zdravko Kuzmanovic has made a public statement of support for Diaspora charity organisation 28. Jun in supporting Serbs in Republika Srpska.
Zdravko and his wife Marina’s donation effectively paid for the transportation costs for an institute which offers protection for young women and children in Visegrad.

The largest 28. Jun humanitarian event was held last weekend in Milwaukee, WI with over $10,000 raised and over 1,000 people in attendance.

The previous evening 28. Jun members met and received support from the President of the UN General Assembly Vuk Jeremic and former U.S. congresswoman Melissa Bean.
28. Jun has secured blagoslovs (official blessings) from Vladika Irinej of Australia and New Zealand and Bishop Fotije of the Dalmatia Eparchy.
Additionally, our members in Chicago held a meeting with Metropolitan Amfilohije and he has also agreed to bless this project and assist with our container intended for Berane, Montenegro.

At 28. Jun we take financial accountability and transparency very seriously. The overwhelming majority of our donations come from our own members and we take serious precautions to ensure all funds received go toward direct aid.

28. Jun successfully completed a Twitter campaign to bring attention to their latest project ‘Srpske zemlje, Srpski rod’. Celebrities who tweeted and re-tweeted the promotional video for the campaign included Vlade Divac, Marija Serifovic, Sasa Kovacevic, Shaquille O’Neal, Tristan Walker, Marko Jaric, Ivan Ivanovic, Seka Aleksic, Milorad Cavic and Aleksandar Ignjovski. The initiaive which lasted a week resulted in over 5,000 Tweets and saw the 28. Jun Twitter surpass 10,000 followers.
