SUBMITTING FAKE EMAILS WILL RESULT IN AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION

28. Jun was involved in a major anti-corruption sting in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the the Security Intelligence Agency (BIA) today. 28. Jun helped dismantle a ring which unsuccessfully attempted to extort and defraud the humanitarian organization of 37,500 Euros in exchange for license to clear a donation of medical equipment to the Clinical Centre of Nis.

“We hope today’s unfortunate event will send a message to our supporters and the Serbian public that not even organized crime groups will disrupt our humanitarian work. We are thankful for the work of the agencies for enforcing the law and allowing us to finally deliver promised aid to the vulnerable. We are extremely happy that our patience, perseverance and dedication to helping those in need got us through this ordeal.

The container in question is comprised of medical aid that arrived in Serbia in January to be delivered to clinical centers in the country that rely on this equipment to treat patients. The delay incurred enormous docking and shipping costs and, most importantly, impacted medical treatment for people across the country.

We’re grateful and relieved that this ordeal has finally come to an end and call on all other humanitarian organizations and workers to utilize the law and stand against organized corruption at all levels and all types. Our perseverance against corrupt bodies ensured that the container worth nearly $700,000 is scheduled to be delivered to Nis by Friday.” stated 28. Jun Director for the Balkans Sava Vojnovic.”

28. Jun has launched a new advocacy division called ’28. Jun Global’ tasked with channeling organized activism to promote humanitarian values and outcomes at international bodies like the United Nations. The United Nations Youth Forum in New York last month was the first high level event in which the new fraction took part in.

Jun was honored to represent Serbia at the forum — our delegation had the opportunity to share our views and meet with President of the United Nations General Assembly Maria Fernanda Espinosa, President of the ECOSOC Inga Rhonda King and UN Envoy on Youth Jayathma Wickramanayake.” Adding, “Humanitarian advocacy offers pathways to political influence for apolitical organizations like 28. Jun. We remain impartial in our field efforts, while simultaneously recognizing that advocacy paves way for humanitarian politics that strive to create a brighter tomorrow.”

28. Jun will mark the 20th anniversary of the NATO bombing of Yugoslavia with a new project which will explore the consequences of the bombing at the United Nations. 28. Jun will utilize its Special Consultative Status to chair two special sessions at the UN in New York and Geneva dealing with the effects on the region through a multi-ethnic lens. Titled ‘Truth. Reconciliation. Prevention.’— the endeavor seeks the support of the international community in bringing lasting stability to the Western Balkans through honest discourse. Last week, 28. Jun Vice President Milo Dubak delivered a blistering speech at the United Nations strongly condemning the illegal bombing at the 40th Session of the Human Rights Council. He concluded by announcing the organization’s plan to undertake the ambitious project which is slated to span several months.

28. Jun held a very productive meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ivica Dacic in Belgrade today. We are thankful for his support of our humanitarian work and look forward to future cooperation.

S obzirom na neistinite i uznemirujuce navode koje je ovog jutra objavila eparhija Rasko Prizrenska humanitrna organizacija 28. Jun istice:

1. Humanitarna organizacia nigde nije pozvala na prikupljanje sresatava za manastir Devine vode, vec je realizovala donaciju iz sopstvenih sredstava. Smatramo da donacija u iznosu od 2000 kanadska dolara nije ‘mala’ donacija.

2. Sto se tice manastira Svetih Arhangela, niti u jednoj objavi nije navedeno da je manastiru bilo sta donirano.

3. U zvanicnoj objavi 28.Juna koja se tice hitne dostave hrane narodnoj kuhinji i vrticu na Kosovu I Metohiji, u decembru prosle godine, jasno je navedeno da je dostavljeno oko 20 paleta hrane, izrazena je duboka zahvalnost dobrotvornom fondu Covekoljublje, uz ciju saradnju je ceo projekat i realizovan. Citav trosak prevoza i dostave takodje je snosila nasa organizacija.

4. Aktivnosti koje nasa orgnizcija ima pred najvisim organom medjunarodne zajednice usmereni su na pravdu i istinu za nas narod, pa je jasan motiv pokretanja inicijative za potpisivanje peticije za ocuvanje Srpskog kulturnog nasledja na KiM. Nejasno je kako je ovaj akt protumacen kao negativan.

Како је humanitarna organizacija 28. Jun stekla konsultativni status pri Ujedinjenim Nacijama pre 18 meseci, tako je vazno istaci da je finansijsko poslovanje organizacije detaljno provereno od strane kanadske racunovodstvene firme koja kontinuirano o finansijama vodi racuna.

Napad na 28. Jun koja je strogo volonterska organizacija, te pokusaji da se ukalja nasa reputacija, navode nas na to da pomislimo da je cilj da se druge humanitarne organizacije, koje se predstavljaju kao volonterske, iako imaju zaposlene koji vode njihove poslove, istaknu u prvi plan.

Ostajemo pri navodima da je akcija Dogodine u Prizrenu izuzetan projekat i nastavljamo sa punim entuzijazmom i hriscanskom ljubavlju, da volontiramo za dobrobit nasih ljudi. Naposletku, dodajemo i clanak takodje eparhije Rasko Prizrenske, iz decembra, nakon pristizanja pomoci u hrani, koji je kontradiktoran svemu navedenom u poslednjoj negativnoj objavi.

Na ovo gledamo kao na Bozije iskusenje i proveru nase trpeljivosti i istrajnosti. Sigurni smo da Gospod sve vidi te da ce svako biti nagradjen prema sopostvenim zaslugama.

We are thrilled to announce that 3 months after beginning the ‘Dogodine u Prizrenu’ project, we have successfully completed the gift giving portion with deliveries to Serbian enclaves in KiM on Savindan (Jan. 27)! Our teams in the Diaspora worked tirelessly since November to acquire gifts and our local teams in the Balkans spent the majority of the last month delivering thousands of gifts to Serbian children in dozens of locations across the region.

In Serbia we focused on the south with the Kursumlija municipality and Serbian population centers in Kosovo and Metohija as the main recipients. In Krajina, our teams visited the Kistanje and Knin municipalities and surrounding villages. In Republika Srpska we focused on Banja Luka and in Montenegro we helped a family in Podgorrica. Schools and Churches were used as primary distribution centers and each delivery was documented daily on our social media.

As for the overall progress of the ‘Dogodine u Prizrenu’ project, we have now:
1. Submitted a petition signed by 150,000 people calling for the protection of Serbian cultural heritage in KiM at the United Nations.
2. Raised the issue of discriminatory policies against Kosovo Serbs 3 times at the United Nations; in New York, Geneva and Vienna.
3. Held events on every continent to raise awareness of the daily struggles Serbs face in Kosovo and Metohija.
4. Broke the blockade imposed by Kosovo authorities on food imports from Serbia with an emergency delivery of food supplies.
5. Delivered Christmas presents to underprivileged Serbian children in Kosovo and Metohija and throughout the region.

This week we expect our container with $700,000 worth of medical supplies to clear customs in Nis and for our team to visit Prizren and make a symbolic donation to the Monastery of the Holy Archangels, finally concluding the project. This has been our largest, most difficult and most rewarding project since 28. Jun was funded 7 years ago. We want to thank our supporters from the bottom of our hearts for helping us throughout this entire journey.

After our delivery to Kursumlija last week, the Christmas present portion of our ‘Dogodine u Prizrenu’ project rolled on with thousands of gifts being distributed to children in the Knin and Kistanje municipalities in Krajina, Banja Luka in Republika Srpska and to Kosovska Mitrovica.

With YOUR help we were able to deliver Christmas gifts to 730 kids in Kursumlija and the surrounding villages yesterday! We delivered to two kindergartens and and a pre-school, with every child under the age of 10 in the municipality receiving a present. Kursumlija is one of the poorest towns in Serbia, and we were told that this was the first Christmas gifts one kindergarten had received since it opened 40 years ago. Our members noted that the locals were extremely hospitable and grateful, welcoming them with food and drink at every village they visited.

Having delivered Christmas presents to Republika Srpska last week, Krajina and Kosovo and Metohija are next in the gift portion of our ‘Dogodine u Prizrenu’ project. Along with our medical and humanitarian deliveries, we estimate that we will donate $1 M in aid to Serbs in need during this Holiday season.
